Step into the Palace, Baby
Following is a project that I’ve been wanting to create for a long time.
While I’m not the first person to be a staunch believer in radical liberty, free markets, cultural dynamism, and innovations, I’ve found that libertarians and others who express these ideas celebrating the process of liberty…too few of them actually celebrate the products of liberty.
So that’s what I want I want to do with this newsletter, which will be a companion to my main political fundraising/direct marketing newsletter, The David Lowenthal Report.
Going with the metaphor an all-night diner (like the kind you’ve seen in Pulp Fiction and most other 90’s era Quentin Tarantino movies), Dave’s Culture Palace & All-Night Buffet (aka “The Palace”) will be a place where you can gather and listen to me rant and rave about all things:
Books, movies, articles, documentaries, cooking, history, biographies, restaurants, criticism, writing, wine, travel, hotels, devices, peoples of all kinds, arts, my family, suburban life, languages, arm chair philosophy, more arm chair science, technology, education, entrepreneurship, acting, directing, and whatever else I damn well please.
The only “through line” between all of this random crap is that I’m into it.
If you’re into some of these things to, or are at least into my particular takes on them, then you'll like this newsletter.
If you’re not, then you won’t.
Simple as that.
I’m hoping that this newsletter will bring you some interesting ideas and entertainment, but be for-warned, at some point:
THERE WILL BE SHAMELESS SALES PITCHES!
But rest assured, they will always be relevant to the topic and will be aimed at making your life better.
However, if those assurances still turn you off—then you probably shouldn’t subscribe.
Also, be aware that there will likely be daily, if not multi-daily emails on any number of subjects. So if that also annoys you, then that’s a second reason not to subscribe.
Finally, I’ll also still be sending out my daily/multi-daily direct response fundraising/copywriting newsletter, The David Lowenthal Report, as well.
No, onto business:
Expect the first piping-hot issue of “The Palace” to be wadded up and shot into your inbox sometime this week.
